CULTURAL AUTHENTICITY & PROTOCOLS
How do I know your art is authentic?
- We're three generations of Aboriginal women: Kelly, T'keyah, and Kelilah
- All artwork comes from our family's cultural heritage (Yankunytjatjara, Kokatha, Arrernte, Wirangu, Narungga)
- We consult with Elders to ensure cultural accuracy
- Every piece includes proper cultural attribution and story cards
- We only paint stories we have permission to share
Why can't you paint certain symbols I've seen in other Aboriginal art?
Sacred symbols and stories belong to specific people, places, and ceremonies. We follow strict cultural protocols and only share stories from our family's cultural authority. This makes your artwork more authentic and meaningful because it carries genuine cultural connection.
What makes your custom commissions culturally appropriate?
We create custom work using our family's cultural stories, adapting them to your preferred colors, sizes, or compositions while maintaining cultural integrity. We cannot paint stories that don't belong to our cultural authority or use sacred symbols inappropriately.
Do you include information about the cultural stories?
Yes! Every order includes:
